Re: Rear lightbar fault
My nearside front lights ALL suddenly failing whilst driving turned out NOT to be a fuse. The Smart dealer is now trying to source parts.

Re: sat nav
I noticed this yesterday morning (10 June) but, as this was the first time I’d tried using the inbuilt navigation, I assumed I’d done something wrong and I needed to find a tutorial on how to use it. Actually, it did display one bit of turn advice in the HUD at one roundabout, but the rest of the 7-...

Re: Rear lightbar fault ==> front lights
Today, ALL the lights on the front left of my Smart #1 Premium packed up: the turn signal, the ‘sidelight’ white bar, and the headlight! The rear lights and rear turn signal (and the turn signal on the door mirror) are still working. All the lights on the right are functioning normally. I’ve posted ...

Re: VIN number?
Thanks. I feel stupid. Now you mention it, it’s right there on the windscreen and in a menu of the infotainment screen.

Re: Key fob battery
Oh, I’ve been stupid. The problem is solved. I saw in one of the tutorial videos that you can unscrew the Smart logo side of the key fob with a slight twist between the flat of the hands. But I couldn’t get it to work. Finally, I looked at it closely and found that the guy was unscrewing with a CLOC...

Re: Key fob battery
This is a really interesting thread, coz this morning one of my Smart #1 key fobs flashed up low battery on the driver display. The car is 15 months old but I’ve only had it for 3 days, so I haven’t got a clue how to get to the battery and can’t find it via a quick Google. Any tips, guys? SOLVED! Th...

Re: Spotted Blue #1 A303
You were dead right about the seatbelt buckle recall @StephenA. Just a few hours before pickup time today, a recall popped up during the final workshop checks. It was the centre-rear seatbelt mod. So it will be taken to a local Merc dealer and that’s delayed my collection until mid next week. When d...

Roadside assistance with Smart #1
The Smart #1 mentions up to 8 years/100,000 miles of roadside assistance is provided IF car is maintained by Smart Aftersales partner. Does this mean that, in case of roadside problem (eg puncture too big for puncture kit to work), I should call the Smart Roadside Assistance number? Should keep my A...

Re: Spotted Blue #1 A303
Thanks for those tips, Stephen. Really useful. Can’t wait to pick it up later this week.
