Charging problem

Is anyone else having a problem with charging? My Brabus won’t charge at work. I work for a big company with over 30 chargers. All are 3.4 or 7kW and the car won’t work in any of them. It used to work but has recently it stops the charge before it starts. Everyone else’s car seems to be ok — Audi, Merc, Nissan, Renault, Mini. None of them seem to have the same problem.

The chargers are Rolec, operated through the Monta app. I’ve had the car in the garage and they say there is no problem with it cos it works in the charger there. And of course Monta are saying it’s not a fault with the chargers cos everyone else’s car works ok with them …

Ask if the garage uses 11 or 22kw charging rather than the lower values.

Do you have a charger at home and does that work?

Try altering the charging rate in the car and see if it works with your works chargers

Thanks for taking the time reply. I am charging ok on 3.4kw and in other commercial 7kw chargers. It’s just those ones at work.

I am pretty sure the garage one is quicker as I watched it charging from the app when they were fiddling with it.

I asked them about that option in the car to vary to input but they said they didn’t think that would help, albeit they couldn’t explain to me what it does. What value do you think it should be on for a 3.4kw charger? I think it’s in amps is it??

3.4 KW would be just below 15 amps but you could just try various settings to see if it then works with the chargers at work?

See if you can find someone with a private Rolec charger and see if yours works with that.

Did you just address this through your garage or did you report it to smart through the app? They may have more info than the garage.

We've 50+ BP Pulse 3.5 and 7kw chargers which work fine on the whole and I can't complain as they are free. My charging challenge is twice I've gone to use an open to all Tesla Supercharger to no avail (Flint Mountain and Nottingham Victoria Centre), has anyone had any joy with a Tesla supercharger?

OTA smartOS 1.4.x was supposed to address those issues
According to most feedback it was a really efficient update for wallboxes

Have your issues started after you upgrade to smartOS 1.4.1?

Hi there. My problems started before the 1.4.1 update but they weren’t resolved by the update. Just the same after as they were before. But I am happy to say that a firmware update to the charger boxes has sorted the issue for me. I still don’t know why it was just my car that wouldn’t charge before the firmware update but at least it’s sorted now. Thank you all for your help
