Dear Members!
Where can I find the smart #1 engine code/number? I don't need the VIN. But there is a number stamped into the engine itself. I need the location of this engine number, where to look for it.

Brabus or non Brabus version?

Non Brabus, it's Pulse, so it is AWD too.

Have a look here but I think it might just also show the VIN code.

Hello evilution! Thank You for your help! After unscrewing the plastic engine cover, the engine code was indeed there where the attached picture showed! I appreciate your help!

Great news. I wonder if the front motor has a separate number shown on the casing.

The front and rear engines both have separate codes. This can also be found in the car's menu. However, in our country, the authorities only need one engine number.

OK, so you needed to prove that the number matched what was shown on the menu?
