Can anyone tell me how to locate the fusebox on a smart#1, I need a supply for my dashcam. Or if anyone knows of a power socket adaptor for the rain sensor socket behind the mirror.

I had mine installed by a Nextbase approved installer. I can recommend that. I recall that accessing the fuse box involved dismantling elements of the centre console and surrounding dashboard panels on the UK nearside of the vehicle.

I have temporarily installed mine using the 12v socket in the centre console. Be very interested in a practical hard-wire solution.

Surely there must be a quick way to change a fuse or do we have to make a potentially long journey to a main dealer?

Which supply do you connect to in the fusebox? I had my dashcam professionally fitted (by Halfords) but the camera is on all the time, even when the car is switched off and locked.

Mine was fitted by a Nextbase fitter. It switches off once the car goes to sleep. This isn't when the car is locked. If the key is in 'reach' of the car, it will remain awake. Without dismantling the trim, I can't tell you which fuse was used for the power supply.
