Last night my left hand side of my rear lightbar has stopped working completely!

That'll be another trip to the dealership.

No obvious fuse listed in the fuse list for it!

How many months will this take to sort?

Did you get a warning light?

No, the left hand indicator noise through the speaker is at a higher rate (the indicator flashes at the normal rate)

Had an email letting me know parts are on order, should take about a week apparently, I'll update when I know more.

Bits are in, apparently it was the light bar itself! We shall see when they fit it I guess!

Lightbar replaced however the trim piece that goes against the rear window, that is a single use item (due to way it fixes in place) picked it up on Saturday and new chrome-ish trim piece wasn't sitting right, pushed in place several times and popped up at lefthand end so they have ordered another trim piece!

Today, ALL the lights on the front left of my Smart #1 Premium packed up: the turn signal, the ‘sidelight’ white bar, and the headlight! The rear lights and rear turn signal (and the turn signal on the door mirror) are still working. All the lights on the right are functioning normally.

I’ve posted it on this topic as I was alerted to the fault by the double-speed turn-signal speaker click sound just as Milligoon was when his rear light bar failed. In my case a message also popped up on the driver display “Turn signal fault. Please check.”

I’m hoping that such a spectacular list of failures might indicate it’s NOT actually the lights themselves, but maybe a fuse. But the only vaguely relevant fuse in the list in the user manual seems to be LEFT HEADLIGHT.

Anyway, I’m not about to risk voiding the warranty by tampering with the fuses, so it’s a trip to the Merc dealer.

My nearside front lights ALL suddenly failing whilst driving turned out NOT to be a fuse. The Smart dealer is now trying to source parts.

I too had the left indicator noise through the speaker going twice as fast, but it then seemed to recover!
I’ll get it checked anyway.
