Hi. I just test drove a Smart #1. There doesn't seem to be a way to turn off Regenerative Braking when releasing the accelerator ie the car doesn't 'coast'. I can turn it down, but not off. I've been able to turn it off on my four previous EVs and it's a showstopper for me as far as buying the #1 goes. Is there any way to turn Regenerative Braking off?

Was s-pedal on? I've seen in the next software update that you will be able to select the regen strength, not sure if this is for both s-pedal on or off, or both.

I found the attached on the Web, which is encouraging. I've asked my local dealer if he can confirm it.

I've just had confirmation from my local Mercedes dealer that the new OTA update will include an additional lighter regen braking level and will be rolled out in the UK in the next few weeks (July 2024).
